For working on the device, warehouse employees do not need their own ScanSPOT permission set. The mobile pages bring their own permissions with them. For the documents that ScanSPOT processes and posts, the user's usual Business Central permissions apply.
You control which tasks a user sees via the warehouse employees in Business Central and the warehouse employee blocking per handling area.
License plans
ScanSPOT is licensed per user. You can find the plans and their prices on our website. The plan determines which handling areas are available.
License via the SPOTS License Manager
Users without a ScanSPOT plan from AppSource, for example in on-premises installations, are licensed via the SPOTS License Manager. If ScanSPOT is licensed there, the scope of Enterprise applies. After installation, a 30-day trial period runs.
Without a valid license, the message "Your license does not grant you access to the product ScanSPOT. Please contact your administrator." appears when the Role Center is opened. In that case, the job queue no longer processes anything either.
