Setup

You set up PackSPOT on the Module Setup - PackSPOT page. You find it through the search ("Tell me what you want to do") with the term "Module Setup". For this page, you need the permission set SP0TS PackSPOT - Admin (see Permissions and License).

  1. Under No. Series, create three number series: for packagings, item packaging lists, and packaging reports. PackSPOT does not create number series.
  2. In Module Setup - PackSPOT, enter the number series and the Local Country/Region Code.
  3. Select the Enabled field.
  4. Check the System Operators and the LUCID IDs of your contract partners.
  5. Check the Reporting Categories. For the LUCID file, every category that you report needs the local country/region code (see Reporting Categories).

Country Reference

System operators and reporting categories can apply to a specific country or to all countries (country/region code blank). A packaging can have a different system operator for each country, and each of its components can have a different reporting category for each country (see Packaging).

The Local Country/Region Code connects both:

  • On the packaging card and in the composition, PackSPOT only offers system operators and reporting categories that apply to the local country or to all countries.
  • What you enter there, PackSPOT saves as the mapping for the local country. Conversely, if you change the mapping for the local country, the field on the card also changes.
  • When posting a sale without a country/region code, PackSPOT uses the mapping of the local country.

System Operators

A system operator is the dual system in which a packaging participates. You find the System Operators - PackSPOT page through the search.

ColumnDescription
CodeShort name, mandatory field.
NameFull name.
Country/Region CodeCountry to which the system operator applies. Blank means: all countries.
LUCID System Operator IDThe identifier of the system operator in the LUCID packaging register.

During installation, PackSPOT already creates the German dual systems. Please check them after installation.

Reporting Categories

Reporting categories are the material types by which you report packaging quantities. You find the Reporting Categories - PackSPOT page through the search.

ColumnDescription
CodeShort name, mandatory field.
DescriptionName of the category or of the material. It depends on the country and on the dual system.
Unit of Measure CodeUnit of the report, for example KG.
Country/Region CodeCountry to which the category applies. Blank means: all countries.
Without PPWR CodeCategory without a material code. The PPWR Code is then cleared and locked.
PPWR CodeThe material code that LUCID expects, for example 20000 for paper, paperboard, and cardboard.

During installation, PackSPOT already creates these categories for Germany:

The LUCID file only includes categories whose country/region code exactly matches the Local Country/Region Code. For the categories that you report, enter the local country/region code, for example DE. Categories with a blank country appear in the packaging report, but not in the file.
