Packaging Report
With the packaging report, you summarize the packaging ledger entries of a reporting period and generate the XML file for the LUCID packaging register.
You open the Packaging Reports - PackSPOT list through the search or in the Role Center through Packaging Report. A new report gets its number from the Packaging Report Nos. of the Module Setup.
Process
- Create a new report.
- Choose the Reporting Type and Reporting Period, and set the filters if needed.
- Run Calculate Lines.
- Check the lines and correct weights if needed.
- Release.
- Run Download XML (LUCID) and upload the file to LUCID.
- Select Reported.

Reporting
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Reporting Type | Type of the LUCID report, see below. |
| Reporting Period | Day, Week, Month, Quarter, Year, or Accounting Period. PackSPOT sets the start and end to the period in which the work date falls. Accounting Period stands for the entire fiscal year. |
| Reporting Period Start, Reporting Period End | The entries with a posting date in this period are included in the report. If you change the start, PackSPOT recalculates the end. |
| Reported | Select the check box when the report has been submitted to LUCID. After that, filters, period, and lines are locked. |
Reporting Types
| Reporting Type | LUCID Code |
|---|---|
| Init. Plan Quantities Report | HPM1 |
| In Year Quantities Report | HMM1 |
| Year-end Quantities Report | HJM1 |
| Supplement Quantities Report | HNM1 |
| Deduction Quantities | HAM1 |
For Init. Plan Quantities Report and Year-end Quantities Report, PackSPOT sets the reporting period to Year.
Calculate Lines
Calculate Lines reads all packaging ledger entries of the reporting period that match the filters, and builds the lines from them as a tree:
- Country/Region, if no country is filtered
- System Operator, if no system operator is filtered
- Reporting Category, sorted by PPWR Code. Entries without a category come last as "No Reporting Category".
- Packaging, per packaging with weight or quantity
Entries without a country or without a system operator appear as "No Country / Region Code" or "No System Operator".
Calculate Lines is only possible with the status Open, without the check box in Reported, and with a filled-in reporting period.
Lines
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Type, Code, Description | Level of the tree and its value. |
| Reporting Weight (kg) | The weight that is reported. You can change it. |
| Reporting Quantity | The quantity, only changeable on packaging lines. |
| Unit of Measure Code | Consumption unit of the packaging. |
A click on the weight or quantity opens the underlying packaging ledger entries.
If you change a weight, PackSPOT does not adjust the totals above it. Only the weight of the reporting category line goes into the LUCID file. Therefore, correct it there.
Release
Release locks the lines. Reopen opens the report again.
LUCID File
Download XML (LUCID) generates the file
LUCID.xml and downloads it. PackSPOT validates the file
against the LUCID schema before it releases it.
For each system operator (with its LUCID System Operator ID), the file contains the materials with PPWR Code and mass in kilograms. PackSPOT adds up identical PPWR Codes of a system operator.
The file only includes lines of the reporting categories for which the following applies:
- the country of the line is the local country or blank,
- the line has a system operator,
- the reporting category has a PPWR Code,
- the reporting category has exactly the Local Country/Region Code of the module setup.
PackSPOT omits lines without a system operator without notice. Therefore, check the report for "No System Operator" before the download. For the file, the Local Country/Region Code must be filled in in the module setup.
The download does not select Reported. Select the check box yourself when you have submitted the file to LUCID.
