Introduction to PackSPOT
PackSPOT manages the packaging that your company places on the market, and the information that the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, Regulation (EU) 2025/40) and the German Packaging Act (VerpackG) require for it.
How PackSPOT Works
You create each packaging once as a master record: with its dimensions, its components and their weight, the reporting category (material), and the system operator it participates in. From the composition, PackSPOT calculates the empty weight and suggests a recycling score and a recycling grade.
Item packaging lists describe which packaging belongs to which item. When you post a sale, PackSPOT looks for the matching certified item packaging list and writes the consumed packaging as packaging ledger entries. You enter additional packaging, such as a shipping carton for the entire order, directly in the sales order or in the warehouse shipment.
From the packaging ledger entries, PackSPOT creates the packaging report for a reporting period, grouped by country, system operator, and material. You can download the report as an XML file for the LUCID packaging register or export it to Excel for the authorized representatives.
For conformity under the PPWR, you store supporting documents for each packaging and create the EU Declaration of Conformity according to Annex VIII.
